so until my landlord buys me a new furnace, I have to use the fireplace. Any advice on how to start it fast and hot?
I can always get it lit, but it sometimes takes me awhile. I have a nice dry supply of wood and an unlimited supply of newspaper that I use as kindling. Not too comfortable just leaving it lit all day when no one is home so I gotta light it in under 30 mins before my lil man gets home and tries to help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I never had a fireplace until this season. God I would never make it on survivor lol

Steal dry newspapers from recycling, roll them the long way, and tie them in overhand knots, then light the ends. Dec 27, 23:21
Roll up the newspaper real tight the size of a small log - it burn alot longer and will get the other logs started {nm} Dec 28, 15:13

btw dont buy the fake logs that burn for 4 hours. yeah they burn but no where near as hot as a good real fire. {nm} Dec 28, 18:25
