IPO goes down, that's just wrong
I know I shouldn't comment on a stock's movement, but I think the logic behind the trading algorithm is just plain wrong.
There was an IPO yesterday with 80 million shares bought long. Today there are 4.5 million longs and 0.5 million shorts and the stock falls over 2%. Where is the logic in that? Can someone explain to me why shorting has a bigger influence on a trend than buying?

The way I see it, the point of limiting shares was to create a demand to buy a stock at IPO price rather than a higher price. Feb 19, 09:00
