There are so many MovieStocks that ride the down elevator that it is hard to know where to start...but there is always a reason.

Those in "Concept" phase tend to gradually drop in price

Those in "Developement" phase, with no news, tend to drop, unless there is news.  Even then, news can pump it up, then people cash out and the price drops, until there is more news.  No news, people sell, it drops.

Those in wrap phase sometimes get overinflated and when the long range estimates of weekend box office are released, somtimes the balloon pops.

The trick is to ride the train both ways.  When they are dropping, flip it and short the thing.
