Thanks for your lesson in terminology - you will note in my first sentence "This is taken from history for starbond "AMACK" shorted and then covered". Despite my not carrying shorted and covered throughout the example does not change the calculations.  I presumed that it is commissions but I come up with a difference of 26,614. I am sure that you can provide me with a breakdown of 67,952 difference. What I'm not sure of is why you are such an obnoxious idiot.

Commissions are on the _transaction_ amount, not the amount of profit/loss. DTravel Feb 06, 22:18
