Set at the beginning of the new millennium, Bless the Child is a supernatural thriller based upon the book "The Devil In the Sixth Circle" by Cathy Cash Spellman. The story follows a family of women whose actions fulfill a Biblical prophecy, igniting a potential battle between the forces of good and evil. Bless the Child stars Kim Basinger, Jimmy Smits, Rufus Sewell, and Christina Ricci. The script was adapted by Don Roos, author of 1998's The Opposite of Sex. Chuck Russell helms the film, following up such directorial efforts as 1994's The Mask and 1996's Eraser.
