Description

One of the oldest poems in English literature gets a big screen adaptation from director Sturla Gunnarsson. Beowulf and Grendel tells the story of the Norse warrior Beowulf who slays the giant troll Grendel, its mother and battles a mighty dragon. The cast includes Gerard Butler, Stellan Skarsgaard, Sarah Polley and Benedikt Clausen. The epic poem has the additional distinction of being one of J.R.R. Tolkein's influences for Lord of the Rings.
