The Emperor's New Clothes is a historical comedy from Paramount Classics about Napoleon Bonaparte sneaking back into France after his exile. On the way, he encounters an insane asylum full of nuts claiming to be Napoleon. To keep his troops happy, the real Napoleon leaves a fake Napoleon in his place on Elba to not rouse suspicion. Ian Holm does double duty as two Napoleons and Iben Hjejle plays the real Napoleon's love interest. Alan Taylor directs film based on the 1991 novel The Death of Napoleon.
