Harry Dean Stanton began his acting career in the late 50's, appearing in such TV westerns as Gunsmoke, Rawhide and Laramie. Through the early 60's, Stanton continued to make frequent TV appearances, while also beginning what would become a lengthy film career. Stanton has appeared in nearly 100 movies, earning credits for such films as 1971's Two-Lane Blacktop, 1979's Alien, 1984's Paris, Texas, 1986's Pretty in Pink and 1990's Wild at Heart. In 1999, the Kentucky-born actor has landed roles in The Green Mile and The Straight Story.
