Description

Jack Nicholson stars a retiring detective in The Pledge, a 1950s crime drama based on the novel by Friedrich Durrenmatt. He makes a promise to find the killer of a murdered child and sets upon doing so at any cost. Aaron Eckhart, Robin Wright Penn, and Helen Mirren co-star. Actor/director Sean Penn will direct the film, which was adapted for the screen by husband-and-wife scribes Jerry Kromolowski and Mary Olson-Kromolowski.
