His psychiatrist, played by Jeff Bridges, believes he is just another man who has lost touch with reality, until he begins to have an extraordinary effect on the other patients. Based on the 1995 novel of the same title by Gene Brewer. Iain Softley will direct from a screenplay by Charles Leavitt.
