Description

Maggie Cheung is a top actress in Asia with numerous awards to her credit. The star of In the Mood for Love has also appeared in two previous films by director Wong Kar-wai. Cheung starred as one-third of the popular Heroic Trio films with Michelle Yeoh, and often appears as Jackie Chan's girlfriend in his action comedies.

Cheung was born in Hong Kong but grew up in England. She returned to Hong Kong for a modeling career. In 1983, she was first runner-up in the Miss Hong Kong pageant, which helped launch her film career.
