Omar Epps made his film debut in the 1992 urban drama Juice, which also starred the late Tupac Shakur. With a role in the 1997 teen hit Scream 2, Epps became a familiar face to mainstream moviegoers, as the film grossed $101 million. Despite its cast of up-and-comers, Epps' 1999 film The Mod Squad tanked at the box office, but still lead to more work for the young actor. In addition to his film work, Epps also had a recurring role as Dr. Dennis Gant on the popular NBC medical drama, ER.
