Description

Bollywood film Peepli Live tells the story of two poor farmers who need to pay back a loan. They get advice to commit suicide to take advantage of a government program. A media frenzy ignites around the farmer to see if he’ll go through with it. Written and directed by Anusha Rizvi, the film screened at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
