Description

The plans of a group of resort developers upset the residents of a Florida island in Sunshine State, the latest film from writer-director John Sayles (Limbo). Two different women must deal with these changes as their lives and careers are dramatically altered. Angela Bassett plays a woman who returns to her hometown after a long absence and walks in on all the mayhem caused by the developers, while Edie Falco is forced to give up the diner she inherited. Timothy Hutton also stars.

Sunshine State was previously listed as Gold Coast.Production on this drama will start April of 2001.
