Disney's animated feature Treasure Planet will set Robert Louis Stevenson classic Treasure Island in outer space instead of familiar Caribbean seas. The adventures of young Jim Hawkins will surely be swashing and buckling as he matches wits against Long John Silver and his pirates in space.
The directing duo of John Musker and Ron Clements previously contributed their talents to Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Hercules. Emma Thompson will lend her voice talent, while John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls is supplying the music.
