Fox Searchlight has debuted the first trailer for the romantic comedy Ruby Sparks [RUBYS] on Apple. Paul Dano [PDANO] plays a young novelist suffering from writer's block who is obsessed with a female fictional character he's created. He is stunned one day when she becomes a real, breathing person in the form of Zoe Kazan [ZKAZA]. Even more surprising, his ideal woman manifests the actions of his written words. The Charlie Kaufman-esque film is scripted by Kazan and directed by the Little Miss Sunshine duo of Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. Ruby Sparks opens on July 25th.
