First trailer for Elysium

Sony has launched the debut trailer for the sci-fi film Elysium [ELYSM] from District 9 writer-director Neill Blomkamp [NBLOM].   Set in a post-apocalyptic future, the wealthy 0.1% resides on a safe and pristine space station orbiting Earth, while the poor 99.9% lives below on the overpopulated and ruined planet.  Matt Damon [MDAMO] plays a resident of the slums who tries to fight his way to the top of the socioeconomic ladder with the help of the latest exoskeleton technology.   Elysium opens for business on August 9th.
