Setting a new opening record for Disney Animation as well as an animated debut in March, Zootopia [ZOOTP] admitted an estimated $73.7 million to lead the weekend box office. Zootopia broughtout an audience that was 58% female and 56% under the age of 25.
London Has Fallen [HFAL2] opened in second place with $21.7 million, short of the first film's $30.4 million. The action sequel attracted 55% males and 74% over 25.
After 3 weeks at the top, Deadpool [DEADP] took third with $16.4 million to bring its total to $311.2 million.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot [TSHUF] debuted at the fourth spot with $7.6 million. The Tina Fey comedy skewed older women at 56% female and 90% over 25.
Gods of Egypt [GOEGP] tumbled 65% in its second weekend to $5.0 million and fifth overall.
The Other Side of the Door [OSOTD] earned $1.2 million to finish outside the top 12.
