One day after the Los Angeles Film Critics cited The Hurt Locker [N0PTHL] as their best film of the year, the New York Film Critics also picked The Hurt Locker as their best picture. The last time the two groups matched their selection was Brokeback Mountain in 2005. There was much agreement this year as both named Kathryn Bigelow [N0DKBI] as Best Director, Christoph Waltz as Best Supporting Actor, and No'Nique as Best Supporting Actress.
