Mae Whitman stars as a high school senior who finds out the student body knows her as 'The DUFF' (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) for her prettier, more popular friends. Robbie Amell plays a nice jock who clues her in and help her reinvent herself. Bella Thorne [BTHOR] plays the resident mean girl. Every generation needs their Pretty in Pink or She's All That. The Duff is scheduled to open on April 10th.

Sony has uploaded the first trailer for the comedy sequel Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 [MALC2]. Kevin James [KJAME] reprises his role as the security guard who heads to Las Vegas to attend a Security Guard Expo where he stumbles across a heist. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 slides into theaters on April 17th.
Winning over critics and moviegoers alike, Disney’s animated blockbuster Big Hero 6 [BHERO] should continue to fly high on extremely positive word of mouth. BayMax has no competition for the family audience. Frozen opened over Thanksgiving last year so its hold pattern isn't comparable, but Wreck-It Ralph didn't and declined 33% in its second weekend. Big Hero 6 may be able to hold 70% of its opening weekend at around $39 million.
