FilmDistrict has unveiled the debut trailer for the sports romantic comedy Playing For Keeps [PLAYF]. Gerard Butler [GBUTL] plays a former former Premier League soccer star who is now unemployed. Trying to reconnect with his son and the child's mother, played by Jessica Biel [JBIEL], who's engaged to someone else, he turns to coaching his son's soccer team, which attracts the attention of many soccer moms, including a sportscaster played by Catherine Zeta-Jones [CZETA]. Originally titled Playing the Field, the trailer indicates a shift from a focus on his womanizing with the soccer moms, which would appeal to men, to target women with his effort to rebuild a relationship with his family. Playing For Keeps opens December 7th.
