I tend to look for guaranteed (right) shorts and re-short at least weekly commission free. This is a way to build up extra cash.
Naturally it's not foolproof and deciding which stocks to short is something that comes with experience.
I'm afraid this response is still more general than you're looking for, I'll try to come up with something more specific later.
I concentrate on low priced stocks and the weekly options. Played right, these can also generate extra cash over a shorter time period.
The big one, of course, is playing the openers and getting them right :)
Learn about bonds and play them. In most cases this is guaranteed profit. I check bonds every weekend for opening & delisting movies. Sometimes it pays to liquidate a bond commission free on Sunday morning, rather than pay commission to do it on Tuesday.
