Just a bit of historical context (since you seem keen to relate the game to real-world stock market actions), Starbonds USED to have yields.
They also had ratings (AAA, AA, A, B, C etc) based on their TAG, and when the TAG crossed a threshold, their rating changed, and the price was adjusted to match the rating. Or something. It was so long ago, I forget exactly what the mechanics were.
