My take on 2 movies this week

Double dipped and saw both Descendants and New Years Eve.  Wonderful casts in both. Clooney was terrific in both serious and comedic scenes and supporting cast did what supporting casts do.  They supported and moved the film along.  The younger casts (2 daughters and one boyfriend) should have good careers.  And Hawaii as a background was gorgeous. But all that said, only a B

Gary Marshall's New Years Eve was what I expected.  A conglomeration of intertwining stories, fun, with many actors, especially DiNiro wasted.  But as I said Fun Maybe a C+
