DROI is more a way to compare investments, for example (ignoring commission):
You have H$1M to invest and you've narrowed down your choice to 2 stocks, both currently worth H$10 and you expect one to adjust to H$15 in 2 weeks and the other to adjust to H$30 in 10 weeks, the first stock has a higher dROI, but generates less profit than than the second, but in 2 weeks, you can take your H$1.5M and reinvest it.
The importance of dROI depends on your playing style, if you are day trading and jumping on stocks that are moving because of news, it isn't very important, but if you are only logging on once or twice a day then it is more important.
For a port your size you want to be looking at a mininum dROI of 1%, but as your port grows the minimum lowers as there simply aren't enough stocks with a 1% dROI!
