I understand that...only referenced shares held to demonstrate % of today's trading volume...I was trying to understand++
correlation between number of shares traded today and the amount of the price drop.
Apparently it's just something I haven't really followed before, but today's trading volume of now 15 million shares = price drop of currently over $16. But the percentage of shares traded was only about 6% of what is totally held. The price swing seemed extreme to me so what I was looking for is more information about how volume traded = price change.

There's no correlation. Movement is based on shares traded, not shares held. {nm} May 22, 14:50
