It depends on price, phase (release, develop, etc) - but I'm a lot more patient than most and if I think it will go up in future I will hold
And the higher the price (so more commission), the less likely I am to sell.
For a $20 movie, to sell and re-buy is only 40 cents commission but a $200 movie is $4.
Only you can decide your risk-reward comfort zone. For movies I'm not as sure as, I buy 25000 shares - not a big a gain, but not as big a loss.
IPOs - those move all over the place the 1st few days so if you aren't comfortable with that then maybe those aren't your thing. Selling at the 1st drop may be a bad idea (but then sometimes it's not <grin>).
