I agree with you're thinking on SPBO2 OW. I didn't know Simpsons opened that big. That was while I was still on sabbatical from HSX.
One thing about the simpsons though is it did come out in summer. It also had Bourne Ultimatum to deal with it's 2nd week. I mention that since you mention young adults with the SPBO2 movie.
SPB02 only has 50 shades and Kingsmen to deal with next weekend. Maybe kids will see SPB02 while mom and dad go see 50SHD.
I just looked at Simpsons BO. I never would have imagined it would do 343million Internationally. WOW.
