Depends on whay type of player you are/want to be

If you are "buy and forget" then you want to look a funds, options, penny stocks and tent poles for Christmas and next year.

Otherwise you do have to pick up on trends and news and use the advanced trader to sell when you've made the profit you expect to make if you can't log on much during the day.

The more money you make, the more you have to broaden your strategy (looking further ahead, looking at different types of stock)
