Personally, I agree about adjusts...with them gone, much of the "fun" aspects of openers go away, however...
I'm sure HSX considered all of this, and they must have their reasons. Being a site that sells data to the studios, etc., perhaps the adjusts didn't help with 'accuarate' reporting prior to an movie's opening? I don't really know all the reasons, but they must have considered various ideas.
I enjoy opening weekend adjusts, as it forces you to make a call one way or the other. When I started playing, there was no shorting of stocks, so you either had to sell off prior to the weekend, or hold and take the chance. Once your port is huge (I'd say over $3B), you can buy whatever you want, so there is not much fun in buying a big IPO and just holding it till release. Sure, now you can short stocks, play warrants, etc., but I really enjoyed looking at my port on Sunday seeing it up $5M due to a huge adjust of something.
But on the flip side, HSX apparently wants or needs more accurate data...I can see both sides... but for me? The game will be less fun.
