What is a StarBond adjust?

Again, NEVER in the 10 years of playing HSX daily (while holding dozens of StarBonds, mind you) have I ever been affected by a 'StarBond adjust".

So, what is it and why all of the sudden must these StarBonds lose incredible value OVERNIGHT without ANY news on the actor or the movies they're associated with?

These types of questions directly relate to my post on "Something's Changed..," (meaning, how come I've never come across these issues before, but now in the past 3 weeks it's as though my entire portfolio is being attacked!)
