This rule and the one about halting trade on Saturday rather than Friday feel like they are designed to get rid of international players
I live in Australias so under the new opening the shares will open at 3am. No way will I stay up or set an alarm to wake up at 3am just to buy some stocks at the initial price so buy the time I do get up they will have moved and I will be paying additional funds for the new releases. Halting the opening releases on Saturday after everone has a CHANCE to see them on Friday. Movies don't always open the same day over here as they do over there a few movies open the same day (which gives us a small chance to see them before the close due to time difference) fewer still open over here before in the US but a vast majority will open a week or two some even a couple of months after the US so how are we suppose to have a CHANCE of seeing it. It's hard enough playing as an International player trying to buy and sell, short and cover at different times but the new rules aren't even going to give us a chance.
