I buy and hold
I've been playing this game long enough that I can buy and hold (or short and hold) a stock until delist. However, it depends on the size of your portfolio and what your investing goals are. There are some stocks that you know will actually be made into movies - the Harry Potter movies, for example. Other movies may languish for years. Inglorious Basterds was a stock for something like 8 years before it was released. So the answer is: if you can afford it, buy and hold. If not, concentrate on stocks that you know are going to actually be made and released, like ones in production, or with a release date.
