on moviestocks, don't try to ride the bandwagon too much. That's where you get burned by the commision. If a stock is up 2 dollars for the day and is slowly inching up, if you buy in, most of the times, it won't go up enough to cover your commision. And maaaaany times, the stocks that are in the Top Movers of the day page end up reversing on the next day, so if you buy in on a stock going up and only see a 1% gain, in all likelyhood, you will see that gain lost the next day as people sell/short.
It's ok to daytrade on moviestocks, as long as you make sure your profits on a stock are more than 2% to cover the commsion of buying and selling the stock. Also, think ahead of the curve, anticipate. If you think a stock might reverse positions the next day, don't wait for the next day to sell/cover or reverse your own position- wait for what you think is the peak/bottom on the current day and then reverse.
