I actually love early '80s shoebox multiplexes -- worked in one myself for two years as a teenager. Still go to some old General Cinemas
locations. They had much more character than newer megaplexes, IMO, even though newer megaplexes were first designed to give reprieve from generic '80s multiplexes... I still vasty prefer sloped seating to stadium, too.
