I doubt they'd replace the Saw franchise with this. This is a one-shot film. Besides, Paranormal Activity already replaced it.

I know this is specifically Lionsgate's attempt at horror since Saw, I'm just commenting on the connotation. A franchise won't stem from this; they could barely release Cabin in the Woods as it is.
