i think this HGAME trailer is weak. It's just bland. It does feel faithful in tone to the books. Is that a good thing?
The books are just so lacking in imagination overall. They're pretty lifeless.
If somebody was gonna take the basic Battle Royale idea and do something more with it, they should have come up with something more than simply fleshing out a few of the characters in mundane ways and laying on the teen melodrama. This idea could have been so much more. And for sheer entertainment value, BR did far more in about 100 minutes than this whole book series did over the course of 1500 plus pages.
My guess is that teen America is going to eat this up. And it'll be the closest thing to more of the mediocre junk you get from the Twilight movies. i look at those flicks now, shrug, and think "what right minded film lover cares even a tad?".
