This will get Lionsgate more money as Gary Ross was against 3D conversion of his film...so maybe they convert the other films into 3D now for more revenue.
I was really impressed by Gary Ross' decisions...he seems to just work on the projects he feels passionate about instead of continuing something where his heart isn't in it as much (he only loved the first book).
