Jim always focused on the positive, and the heartfelt. Not that he and Oz and the rest were completely goody-goody, but
there's a difference between on the one hand wink-wink-nudge-nudge humor and occasionally exploring darker themes (like Dark Crystal, Labyrinthe -- I mean who casts Bowie in a kids movie?) and on the other hand puppets having sex and murdering each other.
Btw, just thought i'd add something in regards to Heat. Love that movie, seen it more times than I can count, and still don't know why it's R-rated. The violence and the love scene weren't any more intense than what you see on a network cop drama. A lot of the f-word, but I've never seen why the occasional F-word makes it R. Context matters.
