Generally, I play the post-adjust for holiday releases the same as releases at any other times. I short horror movies, dumb/bad movies,
movies that have big marketing campaigns for opening weekend, action movies, and anything aimed at teenagers, while I generally long romantic movies, Christmas movies, well-reviewed movies and anything aimed mainly at adults.
If you want more precise advice, one thing you can do is look at similar Thanksgiving releases from previous years to get an idea of legs for this years'. For example, here are 2008's Thanksgiving releases (I am doing this quickly so please forgive any errors):
4 Christmases - 5 day BO $46.1M, cash out at 100.1M, delist multiplier 2.2 - family comedy, Christmas theme
Australia - 5 day BO $20M, cash out at 41.8, delist multiplier 2.1 - romantic epic, aimed at adults
Transporter 3 - 5-day BO $18.2M, cash out at $31.1M, delist multipler 1.7 - action movie, sequel

typically, a movie that is still active for the cristmas day/weekend will see a nice hold or bump Nov 28, 20:55
