Really?!? (comments on your spoiler if true...)

Again, IF that spoiler is true and became known, it could open up the movie to being a metaphorical slam against religion and the religious. If the titular Judeo-Christian Religious Icon Noah isn't a religious, God-fearing and loving man as you described, but rather a weak-minded, unstable, maniacal drunk, the movie may well be interpreted as saying the religious generally are the latter.

Combined with never using the word God (if you're right about that post earlier in the thread), but rather creator (as in creationism), it could again suggest the metaphorical interpretation that the movie is skewering religion.
