I'd say yes it does. This says more about the estimators then it does the snow storm. There is just no way to know how many people stayed
because there was 12-24 inches of snow on the ground. You trying to say 24" of snow in Philly had no effect on BO. Must see for Monday and huge repeat business west of the Appalachians are just a good of reasons it exceeded the estimates.
And it's not like we haven't had movies exceed the estimates during good weather. Does ERC do a breakdown from around the country? It should be pretty easy to see if you can compare northwest, southwest, midwest to the northeast and southeast.
If they do give us a post so we can all look at the data. Just need Fri, Sat, Sun of those five quadants or how ever they break it down geographically. It's not rocket science. Who knows maybe the morning shows were right.
The morning shows were reporting that it should have done about $85 million, according to whoever they were taking their estimates from. They are all talking about how the weather effected it and that it was why it didn't do better. Which to me was a nice change from the usual "it tanked" if a movie misses the estimates.

The estimates comes from the studio. Otherwise, ERC, Rentrak, BOM, Hollywood.com would all have diff estimates. {nm} Dec 21, 11:01
