couldn't agree more about the original. in my eyes, an instant classic.
if the material is good, I'm fine with re-entering most any world within film. but there is the problem. it's so rare to be able to achieve greatness within a sequel. mostly because when a movie is being made, they aren't developing the story with that in mind... and they shouldn't.
you and mick bring up a good point about Toy Story sequels being so well done. I want to believe that is what we're going to get here. if that is the case, if in fact it is well done, I can overlook the similar storyline. then hope tht profits from a film like this, give studios like Pixar room to invest in more original properties like Inside Out and Zootopia down the road.
