Not feeling $80M...
1. Flooded market for the quadrant. Over other supers movies, I think this appeals older and more male, like a 100 movies already in the market now.
2. Did I say flooded market? Hacksaw Ridge, same quadrant, also opens against it.
3. The new kid movie - are dads gonna be stuck going to that movie vs this one.
4. Tired market - it's the 6th supers movie of the year. That's a lot and this type of movie has already felt fatigue this year for well-reviewed supers movies (see Cap3).
5. While original for supers (+), it's also really odd for supers (-) - this factor, I can't decide how that goes, but the fact he's a 2nd tier known hero didn't help Ant-Man.
So, I think $80M is just too high...I know I might be the only one...
