Actually, it was three weeks ago... but they've essentially added $10 million every week.

If we're led to believe that they're tracking two to three weeks out is accurate and useful information (it's not) then they should be able to accurately read that interest/awareness of movies ALWAYS increases as it gets closer to release.  As it is now, you post these numbers and stock prices drop once... then twice... and then a third time... and then on Sunday before opening, they offer their higher prediction (now that they have more accurate information) and it drives the price up. I can see this being a real problem once the Cantor Exchange is open for business and there are people with real money invested in these movies.

..while my first impulse would be that Diary appears high, there actually has been significant advance interest in it from parents. {nm}   notfabio on Mar 01, 00:06

Bounty Hunter looks pretty high - am overseas, is this geeting a heavy, visible marketing push over in the US? {nm}   Somerset on Feb 28, 23:53

RS 3/5 Tracking - Tagging for Reference   numbersix_99 on Mar 01, 02:26

ALCNW mid 70s brkln mid singles. LOL. Good thing I ignore their 'tracking'. {nm}   java030 on Mar 08, 00:31

I call bull on the Bounty Hunter prediction... just like I did on them claiming Alice will be in the mid-40s just two weeks ago. {nm}   secretstalker on Mar 01, 03:49

Actually, it was three weeks ago... but they've essentially added $10 million every week.   secretstalker on Mar 01, 03:54

Why would that be a problem?Especially if you yourself are aware of the pattern?RS,for all of their research,is only offering an opinion. {nm}   Phatcat on Mar 01, 07:24

Even if you're aware of the pattern, other people might not be. So you have to watch out for sudden fluctuations in price. {nm}   RogerMore on Mar 01, 10:28

Percy Jackson was undertracked quite a bit...   MiyazakiFan on Mar 01, 09:48

Wimpy isn't exactly Harry Potter, but...   dirtyname on Mar 01, 15:16
