Green Room: adds Jeremy Saulnier to my list of must see directors

Microbe: Gondrys coming of age road trip film was honest, funny, and charming, yet melancholy, bleak even, in its outlook on growing up and life

Rogue One: Probably just had the wrong hopes and expectations going in. will definitely rewatch. Maybe too much fan service and cgi, and not enough character stuff

The VVitch: A near miss. I liked the look and feel & the religious devotion aspect, and the performances by the father, older daughter and son were excellent. but something was missing: not unsettling enough (needed more black philip and vvitches) nor meaningful enough with its religious themes
