I think you've never seen MSNBC, they lean even more one sided than Fox but very few can stomach watching them.  Don't know how you got on the subject of news.  For Idol they will obviously lean towards the singer they can market.  Obviously looks are a part of marketing.  The network only cares about selling ads and could care less if the winner is missing teeth and loves Rachel Maddow.
