SW fans who are boycotting the movie. Hardcore fans are a small part of the general audience and even if, say, a million SW fans are
boycotting Solo, there still needs to be an explanation why 4-5 million of the general audience didn't show either. These are people who aren't collectors, who don't spend a lot of time talking SW with their friends, who probably don't know who Kathleen Kennedy is or that Solo replaced its director and was 80% re-shot.
(And those reasons have been discussed here - no interest in anyone other than Ford playing the iconic role, it's a prequel so we know Han, Chewie and Lando make it, the marketing didn't resonate, TLJ's legs were not good so it didn't prime the pump for another SW movie in six months time, etc)
