There are a lot of us who are exceedingly proud that we made most of our biggest missteps before social media was a thing
The thought that there was no-one to post a youtube video of cannonballing naked from the second floor into the pool or one of my rants about some half wit or another couldn't be posted to facebook since it didn't exist yet may be one of the few benifits of getting older now.
I give thanks and raise a glass most every day that there was no digital evidence for so much. Some good some bad.
I never wnat to be a public figure because many of my peers haven't as yet passed into memory (thank goodness--who would I have to drink with if they did) taking their memories with them some of them would love to tell those war stories.
At least we don't have to live up to or live down that permanant record we were all threatened with when we were kids.
I enjoyed those reviews do more, everyone knows that writers are all a bit off.
