Hate that part.

Obviously understand the practical and financial problems of trying to stage/recreate any kind of air or naval battles for a movie -- can't be done.   Before CGI movie-makers made use of historical stock and newsreel footage. 

But at least that was "real" even if it didn't always "fit" the moment.  But recreating actual historical events with CGI just makes me want to turn away.  

IF it was done in a way that it attempted to be faithful and accurate recreation -- like the first 20 minutes of Saving Private Ryan -- that's one thing.  To just fill the screen with computer generated images that are more a reflection of a first-person shooter video game will keep me from buying a ticket.  

I'll just rewatch the Charlton Heston version on TCM.
